Munich is the city hosting this important event which from 25 to 27 January 2019 opened its six pavilions to around 28 thousand visitors and 631 exhibitors.
A truly exciting experience for us at Buxeyewear in close contact with designers and creatives, among high-quality products from companies all over the world: continuous and constant inspiration. Such as daily contact lenses to control the evolution of myopia in adolescents, not yet produced and marketed in Italy.
Not to mention the variety of sunglasses and eyeglasses, in all the countless models, used not only as accessories but as an integral part of the style and look, a significant element of the fashion trends of the moment.
There are also many varieties of materials used for the frames with an increasingly diversified and varied appearance and a lot of care in the combinations of shapes and colors, for creative and functional results, in a multitude of new combinations and important advantages in terms of lightness and comfort.
Here are some of the models that caught our attention the most:
- Glasses holder necklaces by Tom+Hatty and in particular the models G-Chain Ypsilon e G-Chain Strap which will soon also be available in store in all color variations.
- The new Glitch collection by Portrait, and in particular the Charlotte model dedicated to the artist Pipilotti Rist. This collection takes inspiration from that error that especially in the past appeared on TV monitors, called Glitch, which was a source of inspiration for several protagonists of the visual arts.
- 3D printing of the new Monoqool. Recognizable for the typical Danish minimal design, they manage to be very robust and light, weighing from 4 to 6 grams. The fronts are made of polyamide while the temples are made of medical steel. On some models it is possible to have the temples and bridge plated in gold.
Another highlight of the event was the BLOGGER SPECTACLE Award 2019: more than 25 bloggers from all over Europe awarded the best seven novelties of the fair. The prize was won by the guys from Rounder Rounder, from Hong Kong.
The next Opti will take place from 10 to 12 January 2020 in Munich. And we won't miss it.
